I'm Arielle, a 24 year old Mechanical Engineering Major at Saginaw Valley State University with an expected graduation date of; December of 2017. Before finding my passion for engineering I spent three years as an art major.
I believe in using my art background as a strength and advantage in this field, as it gives me a more open creative way of thinking and problem solving. Combining both my left and right brain ways of thinking I am capable of looking outside of the box while also finding logical ways of doing things, in the end finding the most effective solution, I hope to find both a life and career that together challenge me to learn and grow. A career that allows me to problem solve, craft solutions, and compose a great end product. On top of that I also intend to break the mold and belief that engineering is a strictly male field. I love and excel at what I do. As a mentor on a high school robotics team, I strive to present myself as strongly and professionally as I can in hopes of making at least one of my female students realize they can do this. Breaking this male field mold is my proudest accomplishment. I'm constantly exploring new and innovative trends and technology in the engineering field. I get lost in every new addition of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, always excited to see the newest features. I'm always on the go and willing to jump into any opportunity that comes my way. On the rare occasion I get free time you'll find me curled up with a good book, traveling somewhere in the state, trying a new Michigan made craft beer, or surrounded by family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors and living in a state that has an unlimited supply of it, traveling, and living a life full of laughter. |
